Gateway Connect Groups
A Connect Group is a regular meeting of a group of people with the common purpose of growing in Christ, encouraging one another, and reaching out into our community. In a Connect Group you can expect to benefit from:
Sharing of prayer requests & celebration of answered prayer;
Study and application of God’s Word;
Opportunities to use your God-given gifts in ministry;
Building relationships that offer friendship, support, & mentoring;
Greater intimacy in fellowship with both believers and unbelievers.
Currently there are two Connect Groups operating:
Group 1: Dave & Favour Ludeman – Friday evenings fortnightly
Group 2: Kerry & Nurrel Forsyth – Monday evenings fortnightly
Gateway Youth
A vibrant group of young people meet regularly through the school term. They are led by Jono Leahy, Elise O’Donoghue & Dave O’Donoghue. Bible study is an important aspect of the group, as well as enjoying fellowship with others in fun activities. The Youth also attend other events organised by local churches.
Gateway Children’s Ministry
During the Sunday morning service we cater for the spiritual needs of our children. We desire to partner with parents to lead children into a personal relationship with Jesus, encouraging them to grow and develop in their child-like faith. Managed by Kaye O’Donoghue.
Gateway Men’s Ministry - ‘Men of Action’
One way that we can change an eroding society is to change men’s hearts and the only one that can change the heart of a man is the Lord Jesus Christ. Men who’s hearts have been changed by the power of God and who have made a commitment to the purposes of God are a formidable force in our society in that they influence their family, church, community and country.
Men of Action is about integrating men into church. It’s about camaraderie, affirmation, personal development and spiritual growth. It’s about encouraging men to step up to the plate and fulfill their God given responsibilities towards God, family, church, country and the world. Events co-ordinated by Kerry Forsyth.
Gateway Ladies Ministry
Women are encouraged in their role within homes, church and the community. It is about building enriching relationships between women of all ages, to provide timely and helpful advice from a Biblical perspective in their sphere of influence – in families, workplaces, children’s school or church. And… women meet together to have fun in a safe and secure environment! Events co-ordinated by Kaye O’Donoghue & Nurrel Forsyth.
Gateway Stewarding
For those who enjoy serving the Church community, the stewards ensure that the auditorium is set-up and ready for the commencement of each Sunday service. This includes helping with the music & sound systems. Co-ordinated by Peter & Terry Cook.
