Hi Everyone,

Sorry about the late email. I have been experiencing problems sending emails, so I hope you get this one.

Anyway, we’ve already had a great start to the weekend. The youth met last night and we had a great time this morning at the men’s breakfast. It was a great time of fellowship, food and Pastor Alan O’Donoghue ministered a great message on victory.

Of course we have Pastor Alan ministering in our service tomorrow morning and I’m sure that we’ll have a great time. His wife Ann, will also be with him, so hang around after church for some fellowship and get to know them both. Don’t forget, that we have prayer before service and I’d like to encourage you all to be there bright and early as we pray for all that God is going to do in our service tomorrow morning.

On another note, Peter and terry Cook have asked me to let you know that we are looking for more volunteers to help with the stewarding. Peter and Terry do great job with this ministry and it would be appreciated if some of you could join them and our existing volunteers in this valuable ministry.

See you all tomorrow morning,

Steve & Kaye

Hi Everyone,

It’s the weekend again and a special one at that. The youth kicked off the weekend last night with a pizza and games night and it sounds like they had a good night. Of course this Sunday is Mothers Day, so I imagine that all the husbands and kids will be up extra early to give mum breakfast in bed before church!! Of course it doesn’t stop there, as I’m sure we are all planning on making the whole day special for our mum’s.

Well God has really been blessing us with some great services of late and I’m sure that this Sunday will be no different. I’m preparing a message which I hope will be a blessing to the ladies of our church and of course we want to take time to honour the mothers in particular. We look forward to seeing you all there on Sunday.

God bless and have a great weekend,

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all looking forward to the weekend. The youth kick off the weekend with their first ‘Youth Night’ of the new term tonight. Then tomorrow morning, we have our first ‘Prayer/Breakfast’ which will be at our home. The address is 23 Naturaliste Avenue, Usher. We’ll start at 8.00am with a prayer meeting, followed by a cooked breakfast which will also include cereals, toast and juices. The cost to cover the food, will be $3 for adults, $2 for teenagers and there will be no charge for children under thirteen. Everyone is welcome and we look forward to seeing you all there.

Sunday will be a great morning with Pastor Mike Mastin and his wife Sharron with us. Pastor Mike will be preaching and as I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, with all that the Mastin’s have been through with Sharron’s battle with cancer, we will take a special offering to bless them from the Gateway Church. We will have our usual fellowship after the service, which will give you all a chance to get to know Pastor Mike and Sharron as well as welcome any visitors that are with us.

God bless and we look forward to seeing you all on the weekend,

Hi Everyone,

With the short week due to Easter, the weekend has really snuck up on me, so sorry about the late email. We had a great service last weekend, with an especially good song service, so well done to Kerry and the team. Of course either side of our Sunday service, the men had a great time at our first Men’s Breakfast on Saturday morning and the ladies got together on Tuesday night.

We have two services this weekend with our Good Friday service at 9.00am and our Easter service on Sunday at 10.00am. What a wonderful time of the year where we can remember what our Lord did for us on the Cross as well as celebrating His resurrection on Sunday.

In between our services on Saturday night, Marc O’Donoghue is holding another one of his famous ‘Lamb On A Spit’ nights. The Lamb is now on ice and sleeping nicely in his fridge outside. The marinade has been made and is ready for when Marc starts cooking. So far we’ve got about quite a few people coming, so it will be a good chance to catch up with friends or meet someone new. Everyone is welcome, all Marc asks is that you try and let him know if you’re coming so that he can cater for the correct numbers. If you can try and be there by 6.30pm, we should be ready to start eating by 7.00pm. You are welcome to come and keep Marc company any time during the day while the lamb is cooking and the footy will also be on the big screen from 5.40pm. All you need to bring is a cool drink or two and either a salad or dessert. Also, if you like, you can help Marc with the cost of the spit (It will cost him between $3-400). For those of you who have never been to Marc’s, his address is 9 Onyx Brace, Treendale.

Looking forward to seeing you all on the weekend,

Steve & Kaye

Well this weekend we have our very first ‘Men’s Breakfast’ on Saturday morning at Alan Maddox’s home. A number of men put their name down on the sign up sheet last Sunday, but if you forgot or wasn’t at Church and intend being there, please let me know so that we can cater for the food. Here are the details.

Men’s Breakfast

40 Hale Street, Eaton

Commencing at 8.00am (Will be finished between 9.30 & 10.00)

Cost of $5 per head to cover food

Bring your Bible, your $5 and a good appetite

And of course we have our regular Sunday morning service 10.00am. We have a number of new faces in the Church and I’m sure that we will have visitors in our service as well. Let’s keep an eye out for them and make them all feel welcome and a part of the Gateway family here in Bunbury.

Looking forward to seeing you all over the weekend,

Surprise, surprise! I know it’s been a while since I’ve sent out an email to everyone, but I just wanted to let you all know that we have a special guest preacher this Sunday. Pastor Jeff Baker from Busselton will be ministering in our morning service. Jeff is a seasoned minister, who with his wife Bev has pastored and planted a number of churches throughout Australia as well as ministering as an Evangelist throughout both Australia and overseas. Jeff is also a talented musician, who has produced his own CD and will also be ministering in song for us. It really will be a great service tomorrow morning and would be a great opportunity to invite family and friends to come and visit our church.

We look forward to seeing you all in Church,

Hi Everyone,

By now, most of us are over our holidays, back at work and facing the reality of another year in front of us. Let’s make this a great year for The Kingdom. We have had a great start to the year, with new people joining us and indicating that they would like to make Gateway their church home. So let’s be out in full force this Sunday and make all of our new brothers and sisters in Gateway feel like they belong.

We also have a prayer request from Ray & Hazel Green. Hazel’s sister, Ruth was brutally attacked in her home on Tuesday, back in South Africa. By the grace of God she survived the attack, but is facing surgery in the near future on the injuries suffered to her face. Ruth is a committed Christian and desperately wants to be well again so that she can continue on with the work that she does for her church.

Remember, that Hannetjie and Marnitz are both visiting South Africa at the moment and I think that it would be good for us all to keep them in our prayers as well.

Last week, we prayed for Arthur who nearly lost his toe due to an infection and other complications due to his diabetes. The good news is that he was out of hospital the next day, to the amazement of the doctors, and is recovering well. Arthur and Fran are also travelling, and have asked that we continue to lift Arthur up in prayer.

We’re looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday as well as seeing how many new faces God brings to us. As always, let’s keep an eye out for the new folks, especially first time visitors.

See you all on Sunday,

Steve & Kaye.
