Welcome!

Gateway Church Bunbury is a new Church Plant and is affiliated with the Australian Christian Churches (Assemblies of God of Western Australia.) Because we are a new growing church we are in the process of establishing our various ministries. Our desire for Gateway Church is that it should be a warm, friendly church that has exciting services….a place where one can enjoy Spirit lead worship, grow in faith, and find new friends. You are more than welcome to come and join with us in our adventure of planting a great church in this wonderful city of Bunbury.

Church News 30/12/09

 Hi Everyone,

We’ve got a quiet week this week, with just our Sunday morning service at 10.00am, which is probably just as well as we all take a deep breath and get ready for 2010. Where did 2009 go? Every year seems to go by faster than the last. It’s almost as if each year, time is speeding up as we head towards the rapture and all that God is going to do in the last days!

God has been stirring me about this weekends message and I’ll be preaching on ‘Setting Goals For The New Year’ during which I’ll be sharing some things that I feel God has been speaking to me about for our church. And likewise, in the coming weeks, I’m looking forward to hearing back from you about what God is stirring you about. As Paul wrote in 1 Cor 12, we’re a body that depends on each other, with everyone having a part to play in the furtherance of His Kingdom.

We’ve also just updated our website and would encourage you to visit it and give us some ideas about what you’d like to see on there. We will be putting up some audio sermons, video clips and photos of church events, so if you have anything that you’d like to contribute, please let us know. We’d also like some feedback on what you think of the site. Do you like it? Do you have some ideas? We look forward to your suggestions and opinions. The address for the site is www.gatewaychurchbunbury.com

Have a great weekend as we welcome in the New Year and we’ll see you all on Sunday,

Steve and Kaye.

Church News 23/12/2009

Hi Everyone,

One more day until Christmas Eve and then it’s Christmas Day. Hopefully, we’ve all finished our Christmas shopping and are now relaxing and looking forward to celebrating the birth of our Saviour and sharing it with family and friends.

This Weekend’s Events:

Thursday 24th Dec – Fellowship At Marc’s Home

Marc is hosting a ‘Pig On The Spit’ on Thursday night and after talking to Marc tonight, you had better bring your appetite :-)   Marc will start cooking early tomorrow morning and the meat will be done to perfection by the evening. We plan on eating at 7.00pm, so if you get there between 6.00 and 6.30pm that would be great. There will also be some beef cooked, so everyone should be catered for. Marc has asked that we all bring a salad or dessert as well as a drink. The meat has cost Marc over $200 and I’m sure that anyone who’d like to donate towards the cost of the meat would be appreciated. If you have any questions at all about the night, please call me on 0413 629 219 or Marc on 0410 911 400. Marc’s address is 9 Onyx Brace, Treendale (Which is in the Australind area) See link below if you need directions.

Friday 25th Dec – Christmas Service

Don’t forget that for those who are in town for Christmas, that we have a morning service at 9.00 am Christmas day. Pastor Humberstone preached on ‘God’s indescribable Gift’ last Sunday, but what can we give Him in return? I’ll be preaching on ‘The Only Gift That God Wants’ which I am sure will compliment last Sunday’s message. The service will go for about one hour and there will be no tea and coffee after the service as we want to give everyone the chance to get to their family friends as soon as possible.

Sunday 27th Dec – Morning Worship Service

We will be having our Sunday morning service as usual and although we will have people away visiting family and friends, I’m sure that we will also have visitors from out of town. Let’s make them feel welcome as they join us and take a few moments to introduce yourself. God has been blessing us recently with a number of people visiting and indicating that they would like to make Gateway their Church home. Let’s rally around these precious people and welcome them into our Church family here in Bunbury.

We are really looking forward to the coming weekend and pray that you all have a wonderful Christmas in  2009. Looking forward to catching up with you all.

Steve & Kaye.
